"Wishes!"

Celebration Education's 2009-2010 school theme is "Wishes!" We're planning fun learning adventures inspired by Disneyland theme park attractions!

Walt Disney said, “Crowded classrooms and half-day sessions are a tragic waste of our greatest national resource - the minds of our children.” So let's get out and get down to the business of really learning!

Below are discussion threads for each topic in the theme. Everyone is encouraged to share what they do to make this theme come alive for them. Please share your project ideas, field trips, and photos here!

Anyone can join this network, whether or not you participate in Celebration's activities.

"Park Days" will be two Tuesdays a month inside Disneyland. You may choose the 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, or the 2:30 session. We will meet at the Plaza Pavilion at the top of Main street (see the graphic.)

You can pay for Celebration Education Disneyland Park Days here.

Heather, I have sent you a message through this site about our class times 10/20 and 11/17. I don't remember what time we signed up for but we'd like a 1pm spot if they are still available? Thanks!!

Thank you for you help. I'm finally figuring out how to find things, I think :)

Hi Cheryl!

All the topics are listed at http://celebrationeducation.ning.com/group/wishes/forum . I just added more to the Polynesia and Archaeology pages.

Here's a link to the information on the LA Fair: http://celebrationeducation.ning.com/events/los-angeles-county-fair

Have fun!

Sorry for all the questions, but I don't have Heather's address to send her a SASE. Is this information (what is an event/field trip, how to "register," etc.) on the site somewhere so I don't have to keep asking questions? :)

Heather is keeping track of who sends her an SASE, and that's how we are handling the names for the L.A. County Fair event.

Heather, will you have a Polynesia/archaeology topic here, like you did for History of Disneyland, trains, and Americana? I found these SO helpful for making the most of these park days.
Thanks!

Thanks, Dougie, for letting me know to find it under the Events tab. Is there a sign up? Don't you need names or # of people for that day?
Dougie Colten Comment by Dougie Colten on September 2, 2009 at 2:05pm
Oh, and if you're looking for information specific to the Fair, you can find that under the Events tab. We use the Field Trips tab for paid events, to which participants must purchase a ticket. The Events tab is where we put anything that's free, but we'd like to attend as a group.

I know you posted the question to Heather, but I coordinate the Field Trips for her. Information about each trip is available on the Field Trips tab of this site -- you should receive a confirmation from PayPal when you order your tickets. I send out reminder notices a few days in advance of each trip to all email addresses that purchased tickets for the trip.
Hope that helps. If you need any other information, or I didn't answer your question, feel free to let me know!

Hi, Heather,
LA County Fair is on the schedule as confirmed for the 17th, but no info in Field Trips. Where can I get information?
Thanks,
Cheryl
