Leonardo is such a great example of a learner for us. He had an enormous range of interests beyond the incredible paintings that made him legendary. He was also an inventor and scientist. His curiosity
was insatiable.

He was constantly observing and experimenting. What a great example
of a true learner.

So what can we do to help our children be more like Leonardo?

Two things:

  1. Be a lifelong learner.

Set the example for your child. What would you like to learn today? Are
you reading? Are you researching? Are you exploring and creating? All
of these habits will show your child how to learn for real and create
a learning environment.

  1. Encourage your child's interests.

When you allow the child to take the lead in his education, he will be
learning within his natural intelligences, with just enough challenge
and growth to keep things interesting for him as he progresses
naturally.

Galileo said, “You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find
it within himself.”

Leonardo did it, so can you and your children.
